The MSP Toolkit Brief | Issue 4

Your resource for tools, solutions and special offers for MSPs

Issue 4 | August 2026 | By Len DiCostanzo

AI is everywhere right now. But most MSPs I talk to are still wrestling with the same practical question:

How do we turn AI and automation into something clients will actually pay for?

That’s the work I’ve been focused on over the past year (plus). Not just talking about AI. Not just demoing tools. Building a repeatable motion MSPs and other Channel Partners can use to identify opportunities, sell AI and automation advisory engagements, and turn the engagements into project and recurring revenue.

In this issue, I’m sharing three connected pieces of that story.

First, a closer look at the AI Revenue Accelerator for MSPs (and other Channel Partners) – a practical program built to help you quickly get started delivering AI productivity solutions, AI-powered automation, and AI governance and security, without building everything from scratch.

Second, an update on my upcoming MSP Summit workshop in Orlando, a live sample of the same approach.

Third, one of the most immediate opportunities in front of MSPs right now: AI-powered automation delivered as Digital Assistants as a Service (DaaS), and how it fits into your role as your clients’ trusted technology advisor.

Let’s get into it.

Topics for MSPs

AI Revenue Accelerator Program: A Practical Blueprint to Monetize AI and Automation

Most MSPs know AI matters. The challenge isn’t awareness anymore. It’s execution.

Where do you start? What do you sell? How do you price it? How do you avoid giving away AI advice for free? How do you turn one client conversation into consulting revenue, project revenue, and recurring managed services?

That’s why I built the AI Revenue Accelerator.

The program gives you a ready-made blueprint for positioning, selling, and delivering AI and automation engagements – built around a structured consulting engagement that guides clients through business and technology focused discovery. The goal isn’t a generic AI demo. It’s uncovering where clients are already using AI, where manual work is slowing the business down, where security and governance gaps exist, and where automation can produce measurable value.

That discovery work opens the door to revenue across multiple solution tracks – AI productivity solutions, AI-powered automation in the form of Digital Assistants as a Service (DaaS), and AI governance and security – with a strong current focus on automation and DaaS: identifying manual, repetitive workflows that can be automated and turned into managed, recurring engagements.

What makes this different is the focus on revenue motion, not just education. You get a full AI and automation toolkit: marketing campaigns, call scripts, SOW templates, quote templates, battlecards, client-ready presentation material, plus coaching and co-selling support to help you run better discovery conversations and close business.

The demand is real. I’ve run two end-user webinars this year with over 400 registrations – a clear signal of how much interest already exists in the SMB community for AI and automation guidance. MSPs who can meet that demand with a structured offer have a real window right now.

Why MSPs should care: Your clients are already experimenting with AI, often without structure, security, or a clear connection to business outcomes. And they are calling you to support them even though they are not paying any more for that support. That’s a real opening for MSPs to step in as the advisor who brings order and execution to the conversation – and get paid for it.

Ready to learn how to position and sell AI and automation consulting to your clients? And turn that engagement into real revenue? Let’s talk about how to get started – reach out or book a call.

If you are an AI & Automation focused vendor, we have opportunities for strategic vendor partnerships across program solution tracks.

MSP Summit Session: A Live Sampling of the AI Revenue Accelerator

I’ll be bringing this approach to MSP Summit in Orlando with a session focused on helping MSPs move from AI experimentation to scalable, sellable AI and automation revenue.

This session is for MSPs and channel partners ready to move beyond internal testing and start building real services clients will pay for. It’s a practical look at how to identify AI and automation opportunities, turn discovery into billable consulting, and transition from one-off support activities and projects into recurring managed offerings – with DaaS as a primary execution path.

The interest is already there. I recently ran three online workshops that reached over 100 MSPs, and I’m currently working multiple active opportunities with MSPs who are ready to make this move into their client base. This session builds directly on that momentum.

By the end of the session, attendees will better understand how to:

  • Identify and prioritize AI and automation opportunities in client environments
  • Turn AI discovery into billable consulting and services revenue
  • Move from projects into recurring managed AI and automation offerings, including DaaS
  • Lead AI conversations with clients in a way that’s practical and tied to business outcomes

Why MSPs should care: The MSPs who win with AI and automation will be the ones who turn it into a structured advisory and execution motion, not just a talking point. This workshop is built to help you do exactly that.

AI-Powered Automation and DaaS: Becoming Your Clients' Trusted AI Advisor

One of the most immediate opportunities in front of MSPs right now is AI-powered automation, delivered as Digital Assistants as a Service (DaaS).

Every client has manual work hiding across the business – finance, HR, operations, sales, service delivery, scheduling, onboarding, billing. It’s repetitive, rules-based, time-consuming, and heavily dependent on people moving information between systems. That’s exactly where AI-powered automation makes a measurable difference.

You’re already your SMB clients’ trusted advisor and business technology department or co-managing alongside the internal IT team for your larger accounts. This is a natural extension of that role, not a new one: becoming their Trusted AI Advisor as well.

That starts with better discovery. Instead of asking clients if they “want AI,” ask:

  • Where is work still being done manually today?
  • Which processes depend on copy/paste, spreadsheets, email handoffs, or repeated data entry?
  • Where do delays or errors create cost, risk, or client frustration?
  • If a Digital Assistant could handle the repetitive part of the work, where could your people focus instead?

That’s where the conversation becomes real – moving AI away from an abstract tool and toward outcomes clients understand: faster cycle times, fewer errors, better consistency, more capacity.

I work with Valenta as a strategic partner to help MSPs deliver AI-powered automation without having to build the delivery capability themselves. My role is to help you connect the dots: identifying the right opportunities, running stronger client conversations, positioning the engagement, and helping you close it.

Why MSPs should care: Clients don’t want AI for the sake of AI. They want work done faster, more accurately, with less friction. DaaS gives you a practical way to bring AI-powered automation into the client conversation and open a new managed service revenue stream, while reinforcing your position as their go-to advisor for where technology is headed.

Ready to add AI-powered automation and DaaS to your MSP’s revenue mix? Let’s talk about how to get started – reach out or book a call.

Closing Note

AI is moving quickly, but MSPs don’t need to chase every tool or trend. The real opportunity is to bring structure to the chaos – helping clients understand where AI fits, where automation creates measurable value, and how to turn scattered experiments into real business outcomes and revenue.

I’m already having these conversations with a growing number of MSPs. Whether you want to learn how to position and sell AI and automation consulting, or you’re ready to talk specifically about AI-powered automation and DaaS, reach out or book a call – let’s get started.
